Shehzeen

Shehzeen, also known as the Desi Wonder Woman, can be easily considered one of the best Pakistani bloggers. Her content is always unique and original. You can see how much she is loved by her followers, as well as being the Masala Award winner for Best Blogger 2017. While she is currently based in Sydney, her Pakistani heritage has not affected her desire to live there. She continues to be a very approachable and humble blogger.

Shehzeen shares amazing skincare tips, provides the best makeup tutorials and gives great reviews on lipsticks. But, like many others, we also watch her every day to see her stories. Shehzeen’s Instagram Stories will brighten your day. You can see her being grateful for the simple things in life (chai and random trees, a well-organized closet, and what not) and celebrating every moment of happiness. Shehzeen currently typed all of her Instagram stories so that her followers with hearing impairments can understand them. This just shows how amazing, caring, and down-to earth she is.

1) Which skincare brand or product is your favorite?

Although I don’t love any particular brand, moisturizers are my favorite. Moisturizers are often overlooked. It’s hard to beat moisturizers when you have plump, hydrated skin. Before applying makeup, I apply a lot of it. I usually do two coats and let each one dry before adding another. Dry skin can cause makeup to not set well and lead to lines, wrinkles, and other problems. If you don’t moisturize your skin enough, it can cause problems. Every skin type has a moisturizer, so it’s important to use a lot of it. Even if you have acne, spots or bumps, hydrated skin will make your makeup look better. Sunblock can be used regularly to prevent sun/aging spots, and over time it can reduce pigmentation.

2) What is the one makeup product that you cannot live without?

Lipstick. I prefer matte shades, and I wear them 99.9% of the time.

3) What is the most recent product in your skincare/makeup collection that you fell in love?

Ver fell in love with Smashbox Always-On Liquid Lipstick, color “Stepping Out”. Since I purchased it, I have grown to love it more and more. It is a great piece of clothing that I enjoy wearing every day. It’s a neutral color with a lot of impact. And because it’s warm, it doesn’t make me look drab.

4) A drugstore product that is better than the expensive product?

Since about ten years ago, I have been a big fan of the ‘Diana London Super Longwear Eyepencil’ and have never looked back. It doesn’t smudge, stays on all day, is soft and buttery to apply, and has a great, deep black pigment.

5) What product did you regret purchasing?

Colourpop lipsticks are a great choice, but they can be difficult to maintain. They’re drying and sticky so they don’t work well with greasy foods. I like products that last throughout the day. I also prefer to feel comfortable so I won’t be buying them again. Just finished the last of the ones I bought.

6) What are your top products for a 10min get ready session?

I don’t have a complicated makeup routine so I can get ready in 5 to 7 minutes every day. For years, I have used the same products: Garnier BB Cream for oily skin (the one made from France), Maybelline Fit me concealer, Channel Stylo or Diana of London eyeliner if I feel like doing my eyes, mascara (no particular favorites), MAC peaches blush, and a lipstick that suits my mood.
