We’re excited to break out our summer favorites, including flowy dresses and beach accessories. You might be looking for the right resortwear or new shoes if you are going on vacation. But, one thing that we hate about summer is getting ready: The dry, crusty heels and feet that winter gave us.

While it isn’t a big deal if you wear boots and socks all year, it can make your feet look awful. You can apply lotion every night before you go to bed, but it’s not always enough.

You can easily maintain soft, smooth feet all year long by taking the time to exfoliate, moisturize, as well as care for them. Although it may take some time to get your feet in tip-top condition, you can do it at home using the right products. You can schedule an evening at home for a full-on manicure or go to a salon to get one. We recommend these services: Get (and keep!) them! For the summer, sandal-ready feet are a must.

How to do a DIY pedicure at home

Step 1: Exfoliate

To get soft and smooth feet, you must first remove any dry, dead skin. This can be done with either a pumice or scrub, or a chemical exfoliator that helps remove the dead skin cells. Both can be used safely to remove dry patches.

  • BabyFoot Easy Pack Deep Skin Exfoliation

How to get smooth feet the easiest way? A complete exfoliating kit. BabyFoot’s exfoliating kit is probably the most well-known. It works overnight to eliminate calluses and rough patches on your feet. You just need to place your feet in the plastic socks that come with it (which contain a mix of plant extracts, exfoliants), and leave them on for at least two hours. The socks will work their magic on your feet by removing dead skin cells. After a few hours, you can remove the socks and wash your feet to reveal baby smooth skin.

  • Dermasuri Callus Remover Foot Scrub

Combining a physical and chemical exfoliator will give you a similar experience to what you’d get at a nail salon. The set includes a spray-on exfoliator and a foot file. These can be used together to remove dry skin. Spray the solution onto your feet after a shower or bath and let it work for a while to soften the skin. Next, use the file to gently buff any areas that you wish to soften (such as your heels or balls of feet). It’s possible to see bits of skin begin to rub off. This is a good sign that the system works. After that, rinse your feet with water and apply a moisturizer.

  • PoshPeel Pedi Cure Foot Treatment Peel

This peeling foot treatment can be used over a few weeks if you are willing to invest some time and effort. The PoshPeel set includes a pair plastic socks that you can wear to soften and dissolve any skin. It is similar to the BabyFoot treatment. The PoshPeel system slows down the process of removing skin cells. This is a great choice for skin softening if you have sensitive skin. Be aware that your feet may begin to peel over the next three to 5 days as the dead skin begins to fall off. It’s normal, and you’ll soon have new, softer skin underneath.

  • Indie Lee Coconut Citrus Body Scrub

A physical exfoliator, which is a rough and grity tool, can be used to remove dry or damaged skin. Tiny particles rub away dead skin, revealing softer skin underneath. This formula by Indie Lee is a favorite because it uses natural ingredients and smells just like a pinacolada. This scrub can be used on all areas of the body, not just your feet. You’ll get smooth skin everywhere.

  • Pumice Stone

You probably already own a pumice rock at home. But are you using it correctly? It is important to use very light pressure when removing dry skin using a pumice rock. This may seem counterintuitive. You should not press too hard on the pumice stone as it can cause skin irritation. Instead, use light circular movements to gently remove the skin’s top layer and reveal the smoother stuff beneath.

Step 2: Moisturize

After you have removed all the dead skin from your feet, it is time to keep them hydrated. While you can use any type of lotion on your feet, thicker and creamier formulas will last longer and provide more moisture. To help dry feet, you can wear socks after applying lotion.

You can make this a two-step procedure if you are willing to soak your feet in warm, filtered water and Epsom salts. After that, apply your cream or lotion. After soaking your feet in warm water, dry your feet thoroughly and apply the moisturizer. The water won’t help with the hydration process.

  • Eu Genia Shea Butter

For centuries, shea butter has been used to maintain skin’s softness and glow. This formula is simple, and only includes shea butter and essential oil. This luxurious cream will make your feet feel great by massaging it into your feet every night.

  • Socks by Girlfriend Collective Crew

Cozy socks will help you retain moisture. You can find any pair of socks, but this set by Girlfriend Collective is cute and made with recycled materials. Talk about happy feet.

  • Conair Foot Spa

A foot bath is essential for a truly spa experience. Conair’s foot bath heats the water and has massage rollers that you can use to relax your muscles. You’ll also find a pumice and nail brush included to keep your feet soft and clean.

  • Epsom Salt Foot Soak

Epsom salt can be added to a foot soak to make it smell amazing and help with muscle tension after a long day. The peppermint essential oil is added to this one, which has a refreshing and wonderful smell. Baking soda is also included in the formula, which has been known to reduce foot odor.

Step 3: Keep it going

After all the hard work is done, you can enjoy the beauty of your feet. It’s great to keep up a good moisturizing routine, but it is important to remember to take care of your feet and rest. Comfortable shoes, elevating your feet and getting a pedicure once in a while will help keep your feet looking and feeling great.

  • Olive and June Spring Set

Give your toes a pop of color! While it is fine to go without nail polish, it’s still fun to paint your nails when you can. You can still use the neutral colors in this set, which is available in Olive and June.

  • OOFOS Ooahh Slide Sandal

These soft slides will make you feel like you are walking on clouds. These slides are made of a dense foam which molds to the foot and reduces joint stress. They absorb 37% more impact than traditional shoes and can be machine washed. Is there anything better?
