It’s been almost 10 years since Charlotte Cho launched the e-commerce platform Soko Glam, helping bring K-beauty to the states. Even though it has been almost a decade since the launch of Soko Glam, the website’s ethos remains the same: a skin first approach. K-beauty and Soko Glam helped people see their skin-care routines in the context of their self-care routines. They also brought new formulations and ingredients to the forefront of beauty conversations with the goal to get to the root cause of the problem rather than covering it up.
Cho sees skin care as a journey, not just a means to an end: “Don’t expect changes to appear overnight,” she says. To see lasting, real results, it takes consistency and continuous research. Cho shares her love for K-beauty products along the way.
