It was already on display at Milan Fashion Week. But the Parisian version confirmed that the trends for Spring/Summer 2022 will be even more hot. Transparencies, sequins, oversized tailored outerwear, and second-skin gowns are all examples of fashion that harks back to the 2000s. For a unique femininity, we combine textures we don’t know much with boxer pant and varsity jackets.
LOUIS VUITTON
The Louis Vuitton SS22 women’s collection mixes different styles, times and generations. Everything is redesigned and remade. The night wardrobe becomes the day outfit and vice versa. Grand bal’s atmospheres are portrayed in sequined dresses featuring wide and rigid hips. These can be paired with low-lace-up sandals or oversized jackets. Denim is a strong protagonist of this collection, particularly on relaxed-fit trousers or mini jackets with a round neckline and fringed collar. Slip dresses and cape coats combine to create unique looks that are suitable for your everyday summer wardrobe.
STELLA MCCARTNEY
It is all about cut-out details, neon colors, and combines ultra-tight stretch tops with fluid extra-large skirts and trousers. Stella Mccartney will wear new shoes this summer, which are more masculine and yet still attractive. The cargo pants are tight at the waist and have oversized belts to drop on the hips. The bodysuits and tops can be combined with soft, woven cardigans to show off the shapes.
VALENTINO
Valentino’s SS22 collection sheds its formality in favor of a casual style that does not lose its original codes. The iconic palettes of the Italian Maison are purple, brown and yellow. They are now paired with sophisticated dresses with unusual transparencies. You can also find mini sequin dresses that you can pair with combat boots or bolder chain necklaces. Pierpaolo piccioli’s extraordinary talent lies in his ability to perfect every accessory and garment. Combining oversized boyfriend jeans with sequined capses, embroidered tunics and oversized shirts is the way to go. Maxi dresses are inspired by Greek shapes and come with gladiators sandals as well as unusual feather bags.
MIU MIU
The real Miuccia has returned. Miu Miu, the Milanese fashion woman is able to move beyond Raf Simons’ influences and dress herself in her most authentic clothes. This is fashion that can make feminine clothes genderless and vice versa. It’s back! Miniskirt is the key word of this collection, so don’t be surprised. Miuccia reinvents the miniskirt, making it smaller than ever. She also gives it a low waist to pair with dad sweaters with braids to show off androgynous and defined legs. The outerwear includes tailored and trench coats. Coordinated suits consist of varsity sweatshirts, two-piece cable knits and oversized midi skirts. Pointed moccasins, on the contrary, can be worn with socks (male ones) and worn high up on the calf.
CHANEL
Chanel makes a move to Saint Tropez in preparation for the SS 22. The most common colors to Coco’s Maison are black and white. They are also the main protagonists in this new collection, which is more maritime than ever. Virginie Viard reinvents 80’s bikinis, making them a must-have. Combining high-waisted slips with tank tops, you can wear them with chains that are woven around your neck and waist. The look of ultra-high-cut, one-piece swimsuits with very low ballet flats is completed by transparent sarongs. These coord suits are available in either knit or patent leather and feature the iconic double C logo.
