When power is the most important thing to you when considering an EDC flashlight, you start having to consider lights that are often too bulky to be practical. With the advancements in battery technology and emitter technology, LED flashlights can be made like this. The “Tiny Monster” series is called that because it produces an astonishing 9,500 lumens from the front. It is small enough to be carried around and still practical, but powerful enough to provide a tremendous amount of light when required.

The power of the lies in its head which contains 9 x CREE XP-L HD V6 LED modules that combine to put out a maximum brightness of 9,500 lumens out the front to approximately 879 feet ahead of the user on Turbo. The TM9k’s aluminum body is IP68-rated and houses a built-in 5000mAh 221700 USB-C lithium-ion battery. You can use the dual tail switch design to access Turbo, Strobe and momentary modes with one hand.

You can tune the output across 5 other modes all the way down to an Ultralow setting of 30 lumens, allowing the light to run for a full 60 hours before needing to be recharged. It’s amazing that the light is only 4.92 inches long and weighs 7.69 ounces. You can use it with larger pants and it doesn’t take up too much space in your backpack or everyday bag for long trips.

Whatever your reason for extreme power from an everyday carry flashlight has to be, you don’t have to sacrifice that capability to get a light that you can take with you most places. Make the EDC accessory a part your EDC collection!
