Nicolas Cage, an iconic actor, will star in Dream Scenario, a comedy-horror movie.
Nicolas Cage is a Oscar-winning actor and he has shown that he can be a fashion icon by being a style icon. The Unbearable weight of Massive Talent, the 58-year old’s most recent film (and one of his best), was released earlier in the year to positive reviews.
Cage signed up to perform another comedy, hot on the heels of the film’s debut. Deadline reports that Cage will be appearing in Dream Scenario (an upcoming comedy film by A24, directed and produced by Kristoffer Borgli).
According to The Movie Database, the film will be about “a schlubby professor who never achieved it, but suddenly becomes a overnight celebrity after appearing on every person’s dream.”
Dream Scenario is not the only comedy-horror movie Cage has made. He’s also appeared in Vampire’s Kiss and Mum And Dad, just to name a few.
Dream Scenario won’t be a comedy, however. The film will have horror elements, which is perfect for Cage, who previously appeared in comedy-horror films Vampire’s Kiss (2001) and Mum And Dad (2001).
Ari Aster, known for his horror films Hereditary & Midsommar, and Lars Knudsen, who is known for producing Hereditary & Midsommar, will co-produce Dream Scenario with Jacob Jaffke (a BAFTA nominee) and Tyler Campellone (who also produced Hereditary & Midsommar).
Full Circle Cinema reported that Adam Sandler had been in negotiations to play the lead role on Dream Scenario, but a deal was never made. Cage was able to take over.
We think Sandler is a great actor, and he has proven himself in recent episodes of Hustle and Uncut Gems. However, we believe that Cage is a better choice for comedy-horror. Cage once spent US$276,000 on an actual dinosaur skull.
