Lucid Motors announced today that the range-topping Air Dream Edition will be offered in two versions. Performance will produce 1,111hp, and can reach 0-60mph within 2.5 seconds, while Range will produce 933hp, and can achieve 0-60mph (2.7 seconds). The $169,000 USD electric sedan can reach 168mph with dual motor all-wheel drive and will deliver 933hp and 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds.
Recent funding from the Saudi Arabian Sovereign Wealth Fund (which owns a majority of the company) and an IPO worth $4.4bn USD earlier this year have put it on track to deliver its first cars by year’s end. Lucid will contact customers who are on the Air Dream Edition reservation list to change their preferred configuration. Lucid’s only images are not official and have not been published here.
