“It’s Time for Gucci.”
Gucci’s latest timepiece collection features Idris Elba as the face. It is a range wristwatches that are classic-inspired but have a modern flair.
Gucci is a legend in luxury fashion. They are known for their ability to create new partnerships and now they have teamed up with actor, producer, musician, and OBE recipient to help promote the brand’s latest luxury watches.
The GUCCI 25H is a sleek silhouette inspired by modern architecture. It features clean lines and contrasting colors.
Gucci’s first watch campaign features a range of timepieces that combine fashion and functionality with a minimalist aesthetic and monochromatic styling.
Gucci 25H watches are distinguished by their sleek silhouettes and multi-layered case. Bracelets made of steel with the brand’s monogram logo are also featured. These timepieces come with a range of vibrant, iridescent dial colours made from fine glass.
The high-end versions include an 18k-gold-plated dial edition, a version with a diamond-encrusted bezel, and two tourbillion editions.
Gucci watches have been making timepieces since the 1970s, despite being known for their high-end fashion. Under Alessandro Michele as creative director, Gucci seems to be taking its horology seriously and even creating its own movements.
Michele designed the Gucci GG727.25 calibre in the latest collection. There are some quartz battery-powered options as well, which can be found in ultra-fine 4mm cases.
A video promoting the collection, art-directed and directed by Ezra Petronio shows Elba giving a poetic monologue on the importance of time, ending with the tagline “It’s Gucci Time”.
The video features Elba wearing the 40mm steel model. A number of Mert & endorsed photos accompany the video. Marcus follows the same retro-inspired theme.
Although it is Elba’s first campaign with Gucci, it is not the first partnership. Alessandro Michele styled the actor in a navy suit from “Exquisite Gucci”, wearing it to the Cannes Film Festival.
“Gucci has been a friend for many years and I love Alessandro’s vision and inspiration to break the mold. We share a common sense of creativity, which can’t be put into a box. We both keep it moving.”
