Yoshirotten, an internationally acclaimed multidisciplinary artist, is well-known for his futuristic, distorted imagery that spans illustration, mixed media and installation. Yoshirotten created digital manipulations in black and white photographs of urban landscapes that Moriyama took. The artist opened a joint show with Daido Moriyama.

The exhibition, which is currently on display at the Tadao Ando-designed He Art Museum in China and ZiWu Shanghai (China), documents the collaboration between the two artists. The presentation will be accompanied by a series named after the artist, which includes 11 editions of non-serialized artworks that were inspired by it.

“YOSHIROTTEN’s flexibility and elegant sensibility were combined with the chaotic city I photographed, and that created a new resolution’ for Shinjuku.” Moriyama said that Yoshirotten’s future-oriented spirit gave rise to excitement and anticipation.

Shinjuku Resolution is on display at He Art Museum, August 14 through September 26, 2021, and ZiWu Shanghai, August 20 to September 26, 20, 2021.
