Our Instagram feed has been filled with photos of eclectic, colorful chunky jewelry for the past three months. Jing Feng, a USC student, created Harlot Hands’ fun and eclectic jewelry. It is based in Los Angeles. Feng, a USC student, wrote that Harlot Hands was founded to explore myth and magic, nostalgia, playfulness, and notions realness/grace. The necklaces look like elaborate chandeliers. The jewelry can be combined with a variety of pearls, crystals and other pendants to create texture and color. This brand is on the rise with just over 5,000 followers.

This seller caught our attention when an image of sparkling silver hoops and bejeweled teeth appeared at the top on the Instagram feed. These ornate, shiny pieces are captivating and mesmerizing. This brand, like others, is able to balance an elegant and childish vibe in intricate jewelry. This brand’s Instagram feed is filled with delicate pearl and rhinestone necklaces, as well as delicate pendants.

But be warned: their sales are all conducted over DM on a first-come-first-serve basis, so you have to be on your game to snag one of the unique pieces.

• Clarolime

This brand is handcrafted in Los Angeles with love. It emphasizes the unique nature of its extraordinary jewelry. Website states that “every piece is handcrafted only once” and often incorporates trinkets and other ephemera from childhood, symbols of Chinese Heritage, or vintage items which lived through decades long forgotten — an incidental convergence of a million chances, to never happen again.” Clairolime necklaces are a bold departure from what is expected of jewelry.

Camille Shakirova, a Bay Area jeweler, has made the lovely Lemondropbeads necklace. These charming jewelry pieces combine luminescent pearls with crystal beads and glass pendants. They are slightly more wearable that some of the other sellers on this list, but still as original and creative. These versatile necklaces can be dressed up or down. Savannah Hudson paired her pearl choker and white tank top with her pearl choker, while Salem Mitchell wore it with a purple dress.
