Dyson’s Airwrap Complete hairstyler has been around for four years. This all-in-one styling tool uses high-velocity, air-powered technology to style hair in a variety of styles. Dyson is a brand that has always believed in “do more” so it’s not surprising that this summer, the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler will be launched.
The original Airwrap is a major hair-care innovation that has ever been on the shelves. It won several Allure Best of Beauty Awards and Readers Choice Awards. So you can be sure that we are big fans. Our editor was a fan of the product and said that it made her hair look great. The Airwrap taught “an old dog a few new tricks”, but it didn’t require me to learn anything.
The Coanda effect is an aerodynamic technique that allows high-velocity air to be pushed at the right pressure and speed. This creates a spinning vortex around styler’s attachments. This vortex funnels air in such a way that hair speedily transitions from straight-from-the-shower-drenched to dry. You can then use any of six attachments included with the Airwrap to make your hair smoother or more wavy. These include a pre-styling dryer, two sizes of Airwrap barrels for styling hair, and separate tips for counterclockwise and clockwise motions. The best part is that the Coanda effect doesn’t use as much heat to reduce hair damage. You won’t have any worries about your hair getting fried with any of these attachments.
The Multi-Styler Airwrap is still the same Airwrap that you love. However, it’s a more versatile version with many new attachment options and improved Coanda technology. Although the original product works well with all hair types, the idea behind expanding the line was to allow for more customization that meets different hair-care needs. For example, a wide-tooth attachment for curly and wavy hair types. Jen Atkin, Dyson’s global styling ambassador, and hairstylist extraordinaire, stated in a press release that the tool now allows owners to customize their styling preferences according to their hair type.
The latest Air Wrap offers more variety than the original Air Wrap, which had six attachments. It often streamlines two or more devices into one. You can now use your Multi-Styler with a variety of attachments, including a pre-styling Coanda smoothing dryer that will quickly take hair from wet to damp. It focuses on drying hair with negative electrons to reduce static and flyaways. You can also use five Airwrap barrels in varying sizes to achieve all the curls and waves you desire. These attachments have a rotating cooling tip, which allows you to style your entire head with just one attachment. Six new small and large brush attachments, including two round barrel brushes, are available. They come with either soft or hard bristles. You’ll also find the aforementioned wide-tooth attachment, which shapes and volumizes curly and kinky hair while it dries.
Dyson claims that the company wants to allow customers to personalize their styling experience by allowing them to choose and pair attachments with their Airwrap device. Although pricing information is not yet available, we believe it will be about the same as the current version, which costs around $550.
The new Dyson Airwrap heads are available for existing Dyson Airwrap customers. The new heads will work with the older model and can be bought separately, although it appears that the original Airwrap might be discontinued. Start saving your money if you are new to the Airwrap product line and want to own the most recent version.
While you wait for the new release, other revolutionary Dyson devices such as the Corrale hair straightener or Supersonic hair dryer can still be purchased directly from the Dyson website.
