Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy’ is the First Album By A Female Rapper to Spend 175 weeks on Billboard 200

Cardi B’s debut album Invasion of Privacy, her first studio album, has set yet another Billboard record. Chart Data confirmed that it is the first female rapper’s album to reach 175 weeks on Billboard 200.

Invasion of Privacy debuted at No. 1, selling a total 255,000 album-equivalent units, 103,000 of which were from album sales alone, and its singles, “Bodak Yellow”, and “I Like It” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female rapper to earn several chart-toppers.

Cardi’s studio effort went on to win Best Rap Album at the GRAMMYs, beating albums like Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD, Mac Miller’s Swimming, Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap and Pusha T’s Daytona.

Invasion of Privacy was also nominated for Album of the Year, making it the first record from a female rapper to be nominated in 15 years.The 28-year-old artist is currently working on her upcoming album and recently appeared on Lizzo’s “Rumors.”
