Tribit FlyBuds3: The best wireless earbuds that are water resistant and affordable
The Flybuds 3 have an IPX7 rating which means they are water resistant. However, you can’t swim with them. Six pairs of silicone eartips of different sizes make them a great choice for those who want a snug and comfortable fit.
They are also more durable than other options, with a battery life that can last up to 100 hours. Although the buds will last for only five hours, the charging case can hold 19 additional charges. The case supports Qi wireless charging, as well as USB-C. It doubles up to be a power bank and a power bank with a 2600mAh battery that can charge your phone in emergency situations.
The Flybuds 3 are a strong audio product with an impressive audio quality. The Flybuds 3 have a pleasant weight to the bass and vocals are clear with remarkable clarity.
JLab Go Air Sport: The best wireless earbuds to exercise with
The JLab Air Sport excels in almost every aspect that is important to the success of earbuds for exercise. They are designed for intense activity with flexible rubber hooks and silicone tips that fit over your ears. This ensures they stay in place no matter what you do, whether you’re running or cycling. They are IP55 certified, meaning they are protected against liquid and particle ingress. This makes them ideal for sweaty workouts.
The audio quality is excellent across many genres. It has good vocal articulation, crisp, clear treble, and decent vocal articulation. Although bass could have been more powerful, the Go Air Sport do a great job. The battery life is outstanding, with up 8 hours of playback via the earbuds and 32 hours when charging the case. Even if you exercise every day, your earbuds are more likely to wear out than you think.
Edifier W240TN: A striking design and a superb sound
Although their RRP is slightly higher than our $70 recommended budget for cheap earbuds the Edifier W240TN is worth considering since they are often priced below budget. They stand out for two things: their unique industrial design and the Bluetooth 5.3 technology that ensures an extremely stable connection make them stand out.
Once connected, audio is fairly broad with lots of detail to help instrument separation and vocal articulation. We liked the Dynamic tuning, but you can also create your own EQ using a four-band graphic equalizer in Edifier Connect. The app also has the ANC settings. Although it isn’t the best noise cancelling technology we’ve seen, it’s still a good value for money and can reduce ambient sounds while you’re out and about.
JLab JBuds Air Pro – Best wireless earbuds at a great price
The JLab JBuds Pro is another pair that fits within our $70 budget. They offer an incredible number of features for the price. Bluetooth multipoint is a feature that you won’t find in any mid-range product, and even less so at this price. This feature allows you two audio sources to be connected simultaneously. For example, you can play on your laptop while taking a call on the phone.
Low-latency mode reduces audio lag when gaming. This is critical if you are playing competitively, where even the slightest delay could mean that you lose. Although there is no active noise cancellation, you get a decent hearing-through mode and a suitable wear-detection function. The JBuds Air Pro is a great option for those with limited budgets. It has a 36-hour battery life, hear-through off, and a rich audio experience with a very hefty bass response.
UGREEN HiTune T3: Best cheap AirPods Pro alternative
The UGREEN HiTune T3 is a cost-effective option for those who are unable or unwilling to spend on the AirPods Pro. It offers active noise cancellation and an amazingly solid audio quality. The bass has a good weight and the mid-range is full of detail. The HiTune T3’s strong mid-range focus makes them ideal for podcasting. Voices are clear even when multiple people are talking at once.
Although the noise cancellation is not going to win any awards for its ability to reduce sound, it shouldn’t be surprising considering how affordable T3 are. The price is reasonable and it will lessen the effect of low-end frequencies. The T3 can last up to 24 hours with ANC off. This is acceptable according to modern wireless earbuds standards.
Creative Outlier V3: The best wireless earbuds for under 50 Pounds
The V3 is still a significant upgrade to the Outlier Air V2, but they are now available at a much lower price. This makes them Creative’s most affordable wireless earbuds, both in terms of features and value.
These slim, lightweight buds are affordable and feature customizable touch controls, a 40-hour battery life, and an amazingly effective active noise reduction technology. The V3 sounds better than ever thanks to the upgrade of the audio drivers.
The Outlier Air V3 is compatible with Creative’s Super X-Fi technology. This technology maps your head to create a personalised holographic profile. This technology is currently limited to locally stored audio. You can’t stream from Spotify, but it will provide a unique listening experience for anyone with a music library.
Urbanista Lisbon: The best compact, cheap earbuds
Although stemless AirPods might not be for everyone, the Urbanista Lisbon is a great option. These earbuds are small enough to be worn with or without silicone wingtips. They’re so discreet it’s hard to believe you’re even wearing them. They even helped us fall asleep several times.
The Lisbon offers up to 27 hours of battery-life, while the buds last up to nine hours on a single charge. This is a remarkable figure for such small buds. They also have a simple-to-use suite of touch controls. The Urbanista Lisbon is available in four appealing colours. However, it lacks a little bass reproduction as with all open-fit earbuds.
