Reusable bags: Once thought to be the preserve of hippies or environmentalists, now we all carry our totes everywhere, from the farmer’s market to the bodega. New York City has banned single-use plastic bags. We thought it would be fun asking some friends to share their favorite reusable bags. In so doing, we were surprised by the breadth and depth of the options. We’ll never again go to the grocery store with a canvas bag.

It has a cotton mesh body which is great for picking up fresh produce at the market. The leather trim makes it feel more like a shoulder bag. It’s perfect for running errands or meeting up with friends for lunch.
Favorite ones: Le Pliage Filet Knit Bag and Standard Baggu.

My bag is perfect for summer and winter. It is lightweight, compact and easy to carry (inspired by origami), making it ideal for travel. The brand is: Baguette Handbag

The monogram tote makes a great gift. Everyone needs a sturdy bag. Why carry the bag from last year’s trade show? When you can make your own style, it is perfect! Mesh Baggu is the choice!

This is my go-to bag. I love that it can hold a lot of weight and can be used day in, day out. It is important to have a waterproof lining in order to avoid any spillages. Apolis Small Market Tote The Better Farm Co. has a great line of totes that includes two totes and two canvas and string bags as well as 10 mesh produce bags.
