Sometimes, we wish we had a book to read when we were 18 years old and became women. It would contain everything you need to navigate the wild world of life. Unfortunately, this book isn’t the standard-issue. We created our own version. This guide contains the top 10 things every woman needs to know about skincare and body confidence.
1. Stop saying Sorry too much
Women should understand that grace is classy, and that apologizing is part of being gracious. One bad habit most women have is the tendency to say “sorry” all the time. It’s not fashionable to say “sorry” for everything.
Don’t apologize when you ask for something. This does not mean you should apologize for doing something wrong, but the reverse. Stop apologizing for being here and give the word its original meaning.
2. Talk to your doctor
Book a visit with your doctor! It’s normal for women to get distracted. It is essential to take care of your health. You should make an effort to visit your doctor regularly. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call the number.
Because of our busy lives, women are more likely to suffer in silence than to take action when they notice a mole growing. Don’t delay in seeing a doctor if you have to. You should also make sure you attend routine appointments, such as a pap test.
3. Your life is yours
This is probably the most important of all the 10 things women should know. You will never please everyone. Well, besides miserable! It’s impossible, and you ultimately decide how you want to live your life.
It’s a good idea to seek wise counsel in certain situations. But, the worst thing is to use the internet to get advice from strangers or to live a life that is all about impressing people on Instagram. After all, you only have one life. Do not waste it!
4. Skincare Products: Make an Investment
You can make a practical investment in your skincare. “Invest” does not necessarily mean money, but time and effort. You don’t need to spend a lot or have fancy products. However, you should have at least four products: toner, cleanser, serum, and moisturizer. The Ordinary is a great place to start. CeraVe & Cetaphil is gentle, inexpensive, and highly recommended.
You should aim to have a consistent skin care routine every day. You shouldn’t put your makeup on before you go to bed. Your makeup will be more beautiful if you are able to perfect your skincare routine. If you have the time and money, you might consider visiting a dermatologist to ensure your skin is in top shape.
5. It’s okay to say no
It’s good to say sorry, but I urge you to change your habits. If you are busy or don’t have the time to help, say no politely. Don’t be tempted to say no to a man who keeps asking you for your number and won’t stop sexy at the bar. You shouldn’t feel ashamed to say no. This shows you are strong in your willpower and respect for yourself, your life, and your time.
You can say no to things you don’t like and you will be able to say yes to those things. This allows you to be open to giving your best to the people and families that matter most to you.
6. Your Style is Yours
Although we prefer classic, timeless and chic fashion for this blog, neutrals and blazers can be too much for some people. Another important lesson from this list of 10 things every woman needs to know is that your personal style is unique. Don’t conform to what society says is fashionable. If designer is out of your budget, shop at the store that’s more affordable and don’t feel guilty about it. You can dye your hair pink if you want!
Perhaps we should sum up the most important thing a woman needs to know: Living a life that pleases others will only make you miserable. Social media is a common way for people to “joy” growing up. While it has its benefits, we must be careful not to live our lives in constant comparison.
7. Tomorrow is another day
Everybody has bad days. But don’t let that stop you from moving on! You always have tomorrow, no matter what happened today. Scarlett O’Hara said, “Tomorrow’s another day.” Even if today doesn’t go according to plan, there’s always tomorrow. Every day is a new opportunity to make positive changes in your life. To help you stay on task, write down your next day’s to-do lists and note what you are grateful for.
It is easy to feel happier when you practice gratitude and thankfulness. Joy is more than just happiness. Continual thankfulness can lead to joy.
8. Drink water
Grab your water and put down the coffee! Women should consume at least 8 glasses of water per day. This will keep your skin hydrated and help you take care of your body. Carry a water bottle with you if you have trouble getting enough water. It keeps track of how much you drink and when.
Water intake can be helpful in weight loss. It can reduce hunger and help you to maintain a healthy calorie deficit. Water intake is important for your health and flushes out toxins. You can also go for a walk in the nearby neighborhood while you are at it. If you aren’t in good health, you can’t live the best life.
9. Fad Diets will get you nowhere
Avoid fad diets when it comes to weight loss. Any diet that claims to help you lose a few pounds quickly will not work long-term. Although you may lose some weight, it’s likely that you will gain it back. A fad diet will make it more likely that you gain weight than to lose it. You must make lifestyle changes and change your daily routine if you want to lose weight.
Begin by determining your daily calorie deficit. You can lose weight by being in a calorie deficit. It’s okay to have body insecurity, but it is not worth living with them. It’s better to focus on being healthy than skinny.
10. Dream Big
Our last 10 tips for women to remember is to dream big. The pandemic taught us one thing: Life is too short to regret. There are ways to make your dreams come true. You can set monthly and annual goals and work hard to reach them. Make a vision board. Put everything you want on it. Do not let anyone tell your dreams that they are impossible or that you have never done it before. You have to be the first to do everything!
Your dream job doesn’t have to be career-oriented. There is no one size fits all. Perhaps your goal is to lose weight, learn new skills, build a business, or start a side-hustle. No matter what your dream is, get out there and achieve it!
